Launches special Kaziranga edition of its SUVs, inspired by India’s rich flora and fauna

Tata Motors Celebrating its leadership position in the SUV segment, Tata Motors, India’s leading automotive brand, today, introduced the ‘Untamed Kaziranga Edition of SUVs’, inspired by India’s rich geographical and biological diversity while also paying homage to India’s great national parks. This iconic, one-of-a-kind special edition of SUVs will include India’s first and safest sub compact SUV – the Punch, India’s first GNCAP 5star rated car – the Nexon, the company’s premium SUV with the Land Rover DNA – the Harrier and its flagship 7 seater SUV – the Safari. With bookings commencing today, the Kaziranga edition will be available only on their respective top trims, across all Tata Motors authorised dealerships.

Tata Motors has also recently announced its plan to auction the Punch Kaziranga Edition to the IPL fans and has decided to donate all proceeds from the winning bid towards the efforts on Conservation of Wildlife in Kaziranga.

   Defining character of the Kaziranga Range:

This new range introduction comes with a series of interesting additions to enhance the overall design of the cars. All models come with a Grassland Beige Exterior Body Color with a dual tone roof in Piano Black finish. The Earthy Beige Leatherette upholstery and Tropical wood Dashboard along with the several Earthy beige coloured inserts in the interiors make the cars more thematic, elevating the interiors with an exclusive feel. Furthermore, the embossed outlined torso of two rhinoceroses facing each other on the front headrests (also in 2nd Row in Safari) and the addition of a new Satin Black Rhino Mascot on the front fender, emphasizes the go – anywhere attitude of Tata Motors’ true SUVs while also resonating with the solid toughness of the mascot.

Tata Punch Kaziranga Edition

India’s first and safest sub-compact SUV – the Tata Punch gets an interesting addition of elements with the all New Earthy Beige Leatherette Upholstery, Piano Black door trim, Earthy beige tri-Arrow finish dashboard mid pad, Granite Black Roof rails, Piano Black Humanity Line front grille and Jet Black 16" Alloy wheels. This Kaziranga edition will be available in the top persona Creative MT, Creative MT-iRA, Creative AMT and Creative AMT-iRA.

Tata Nexon Kaziranga Edition

The Nexon in its newest incarnation witnesses the addition of ventilated seats for the driver and co-driver. The thoughtful addition of an air-purifier makes its cabin feel comfortable and safe. To provide more ease to the driver, a new electro-chromatic IRVM has been introduced in this version. Additionally, the Nexon Kaziranga will also come equipped with Dual tone Earthy Beige Leatherette Upholstery, Piano Black door trims, Tropical Wood finish dashboard mid – pad, Granite Black Body Claddings and roof rails, Piano Black Humanity Line front grille and Jet Black 16" Alloy wheels. It will also come with a host of new connected car technologies, (iRA Connected Car Technology, Remote Commands, Location based services, Over the Air Updates, Live vehicle Diagnostics and Gamification) along with Apple Car Play and Android Auto over WiFi. With Dual tone Earthy Beige Leatherette Seats and Door trims, Tropical Wood finish dashboard mid – pad, Granite Black Body Claddings, Granite black front grille with Piano Black Inserts and Jet Black 17" Alloy wheels, the Harrier, in the Kaziranga edition, will be available in two trims – Harrier XZ+ and Harrier XZA+

Tata Safari Kaziranga Edition

    The new Toyota Innova Crysta BS6 facelift has been finally launched in India. The Innova is one of the best-selling MPVs in India with over 8.80 lakh units sold till date since it's launch in 2005. The new facelift of the second generation Innova Crysta was launched in Indonesia a few months ago and now it has been finally launched in India starting from Rs.16.26L (Ex-showroom).

    chrome-slatted front grille has now been replaced by a bold trapezoidal piano-black grille with chrome surrounds on either side. The headlamps have also been slightly redesigned and now it gets new daytime-running LEDs. The fog lamp assembly is redesigned along with new sharp front bumpers and faux skid plates. These updates make the Innova's fascia resemble that of the New Toyota Hilux pickup.

    The new BS6 Innova Crysta Facelift also gets a new Sparkling Black Crystal Shine shade for the exterior.

    The side profile and rear of the new facelifted Innova Crysta doesn’t get any major changes except for the slightly different tail lamp detailing and the new 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.

    Interior:

    The interior design and layout of the Crystal remains exactly the same as before except for the new all-black theme. However, the top-spec ZX trim gets a new Camel Tan colour for the upholstery. Additionally, there is an all-new Smart Playcast 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. The instrument cluster has also been redesigned and it now gets front clearance SONAR with indication on the MID for improved safety. The new Innova Crysta Facelift will be still available with both, a seven-seater as well as an eight-seater option

    Powertrains:

    The engine and transmission options remain unchanged. The BS6-compliant 2.7L petrol engine produces 166PS of power and 245Nm of peak torque. The 2.4L diesel engine produces 150 PS of power and 360 Nm of peak torque. Both the engines are available with either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.

    Variants and Prices:

    The new facelifted Innova Crysta will be available in three trim levels, namely the GX, VX and ZX. Pricing for the new 2021 Toyota Innova Crysta Facelift starts at Rs.16.26L (ex-showroom) for the GX petrol and goes all the way up to Rs.24.33L (Ex-showroom) for the ZX Diesel Automatic.

    The new 3rd generation Hyundai i20 premium hatchback was launched recently and it is significantly better than its predecessor in almost every area. Currently it is available with 3 engine options, 4 variants and 5 transmission options. At present the Magna is considered the entry level variant and is priced at Rs.6.79L (Ex-showroom) and hence it is not the most affordable car in its segment. However, Hyundai will soon launch a new base level, Era variant of the new i20.

    The new Era variant will weigh around 80 kilograms lighter than the Magna 1.2-litre petrol variant.

    This here is a quick walkthrough on the highlights of the new generation Hyundai i20.

    Exterior: 

           The new Hyundai i20, sports a completely different design language. On the front fascia, it features a new and larger hexagonal cascading grille with a more swooping bonnet and angular headlamps. The headlamps will feature LED lighting on the top spec trims along with DRLs. Lower variants will get Projector units. Projector fog lamps are also expected to be offered. The new i20 will be longer and wider than the current model. The sides have sharp, dynamic creases lending the car a more dynamic profile. The window line features Chrome detailing which flows from the A pillar to the top of the C pillar whereas the snazzy Z-shaped LED Tail lamps are connected by a chrome bar running across the width on the Asta(O) variant. The new i20 will also receive unique looking 16” alloy wheels on the top spec variants.

    Interior:

           The new Hyundai i20's interior features a fresh and clean layout with a wraparound layered design. The interior sports a flowing cockpit theme while being loaded with features. There are 7 slats running across the width of the dashboard, connecting all four AC vents. All Variants will feature an all black theme with few silver accents.

    Powertrains:

           The new i20 is will be available with two petrol engine options and one diesel engine. The standard 1.2L 4 cyl Kappa petrol engine will produce 83PS Power through either a 5 Speed manual transmission or a CVT. The 1.0L 3 cyl turbo petrol powertrain is expected to be carried over from the Venue Turbo producing a maximum output of 120PS through either a 6 speed IMT gearbox or a 7 speed DCT. The 1.5L turbo diesel engine from the Venue is also expected to be on offer producing 100PS Power through a 6 speed manual transmission.

    The 1.2L petrol will be available on all Variants with only the Sportz and the Asta variant getting a CVT option.

    The 1.0L turbo petrol will be available on the Sportz, Asta and Asta(O) Variants. However, a 6 speed iMT gearbox will be available on the Sportz and Asta whereas the 7 speed DCT will be available only on the Asta and Asta (O) Variants. This means the Sportz variant will get only an iMT and the Asta(O) gets only the DCT.

    The 1.5L diesel will be available on the Magna, Sportz and the Asta(O) variants with only a manual gearbox.
