Aprilla SXR 160 Premium Scooter!

Piaggio India, the 2 and 3 wheeler manufacturer have announced that the manufacturing of the Aprilia SXR 160 premium scooter will soon begin in India. The Aprilia SXR 160 was showcased at the Delhi Auto Expo earlier this year and is now ready for an official launch in the Indian market.

The Aprilia SXR 160 will be produced at Piaggio plant in Baramati and will be positioned as a premium scooter above the Aprilia SR/Storm 150 and the 160.

This new scooter will be powered by a 160cc engine with three-valve fuel injection system which produces 10.8bhp and 11.6NM torque through a CVT gearbox.

This new premium scooter will get a longer and more ergonomic seat finished in suede feel art leather and feather-touch switches. The SXR 160 will also be equipped with a large 210 square cm multifunctional digital cluster that hosts multiple features. There will also be options for mobile connectivity accessories which connect smartphones to the scooter and helps in location, tracking, alarm, etc.

 We expect the new premium scooter to be launched during the time of Christmas and when launched, it may be priced around ?1.15L to ?1.30L in India.
