Ford's New MPV Details Revealed - All You Need to Know!!

Ford is currently developing an MPV for the Indian market jointly with Mahindra. Some new details have emerged online.

The new Marazzo-based Ford MPV  is likely to be equipped with the same 2.2-litre Mhawk diesel engine, instead of a 1.5-litre unit. This new mid-size MPV will rival the Toyota Innova Crysta. it is also likely that this MPV will feature a 6 speed manual along with the 6-speed torque converter gearbox seen on the XUV500 and the Thar. A new 1.5L M-stallion turbo petrol engine is also expected.

The new Ford MPV will have a completely different body design, with typical Ford design language and Ford's DNA. It will also have a different interior, which will look similar to Ford’s other vehicles sold globally and will also feature 7/8 seating options. The new MPV will also feature Ford exclusive technology along with Ford’s Sync infotainment system, just like its other models. 

Additionally, Ford and Mahindra are also currently working on a new B-segment SUV that is expected to be launched later next year.

All these upcoming new Ford models will be designed by Mahindra-owned Pininfarina.

On further news, the current-gen Ford EcoSport is also likely to get Mahindra’s 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine.
