: HONDA
: 2019
: S VARIANT DIESEL
: 16000

heard about many complaints with many users in Amaze petrol varient regarding pick up & all, frankly speaking Amaze diesel variant is amazing, u can feel 1500 CC power, no issue of pick up, extremly comfirtable driving, the only draw back i found is lil bit sound of diesel engine, but its common for all diesel car, although its on a lesser side., i am satisfied with My Amaze, will recommend if anyone wants compact sedan in diesel variant, its truely value for money.

Before chosing a car I gathered my need which listed below.
    1. Build Quality.
    2. Driving Dynamics.
    3. Good Mileage.
    4. Decent Ground clearance.
    5. Engine Quality and Life.
    6. Look wise(Kind of Off Road Vehicle).
    7. Horse Power b/w 80-100bhp.
    8. Stability.
    9. Feature loaded.
    10. Less Maintenance.
    11. Should be a top end (Because I don't like to spend money for the features if I buy low end or mid end)

Strictly made a full stop for price range, should be below 10L as I am from budget family.
*Note:* Omitted Sedans like Honda Amaze, Swift dZire, VW Ameo,

Hyundai Aura, Aspire and Xcent because according to current statistics, this decade of most Indian buyers buying thought changed to Hatchbacks and Sub 4 metre SUV's. My thought too!

In the start of 2019, I started analysing the Drivability of each car in Indian Market under 10L. Test driven the cars, read number of user reviews about each cars, watched huge youtube videos and noted down disadvantages & advantages of each car. Finally, Chosen two to three cars under each brand.

    Starting from Maruti and Nexa!
Many of my surroundings adviced to go with Swift. Enthusiast like me never like Swift and Baleno.
Where it failed in my needs ?
If I press the bonnet with my thumb, it's going inside. I don't like to mention about build quality because Maruti claiming its coming under light weight strong comb structure.
Coming to Driving dynamics and Stability, I didn't feel confidence in 140 (at Shoulding roads) where I felt strong confidence in i20, Polo and Figo. These cars where so stable while comparing swift and baleno. I got the tick marks only in Maintenance, Mileage and Resale value.
    *Omitted Swift and Baleno*

    Coming to VW Polo!
I would like to say it's a bureau. Very strong comb structure. Great look and sporty car.
    Good engine and performance car.
Where it failed in my needs ?
Ground clearance and Maintenance. Many of them have complained about ground clearance of the car with four people loaded. I have personally driven the polo from Bangalore to Goa with friends where I faced the same issue.
Considering the cost of parts, its costlier and mostly VW service centre will advice us to change whole assembly of the mechanical parts incase of any single part issue in the same assembly.
    *Omitted Polo*

    Coming to Hyundai!
i20. It is an awesome and Stylish car. Personally driven i20 many kilometres as my cousin own it. Almost every check box of my need got checked. When comparing the Driving dynamics and Power, Figo and Freestyle wins. Unfortunately they stopped Diesel engine in BS6, plus I don't like to shift 6 gears in Indian roads, I felt hectic sometimes.
    *Omitted i20*

    Coming to TATA!
    Tiago, Tigor, Altroz.
Highlight of the above tata cars that I love to mention is Build Quality, Harmann Infotainment System and Features.
The major missing of the petrol car is Engine power and pickup. I felt the lag during overtaking from lowspeed.
When accelerating, vehicle should obey according to our mindset but in Tata petrol cars, we should change our mindset according to vehicle's pulling. (In need of turbo petrol here - Coming soon)
Both Petrol and Diesel is underpowered while comparing i20, FS, Figo & Polo GT
But Nexon Petrol and Diesel is a beast here with 120 & 110 PS. Petrol gives low mileage figure & Diesel is decent one.
Nexon is out due to my budget, soo
    *Omitted TATA*

    Coming to Honda!
Jazz is good vehicle but I haven't kept any choice in Honda.
    *Thus omitted!*

    Coming to Skoda!
    Performance car and high maintenance!
    Out of my budget..!
    *Omitted*

    Finally FORD!
Test driven both Figo Diesel and Freestyle Petrol. What a driving dynamics yaar, it's a rocket. Peppy performance. Fun to drive car. When accelerating it is pulling like anything where i20 lost from my buying list. When comparing i20 and Altroz features, FS and Figo stands last. Still I went for ford due to pure performance and driving dynamics of the car. It almost blurred the whole lists in the category. One thing I need to highlight about FS is Traction Control System, Electronic Stability Control, Anti Roll Over Protection, Hill assist, 190mm Ground Clearance with 6 airbags. What else you expect under 10L ?
TDCi is a beast in both Performance and Mileage. No fear about under chase hit in Indian roads. Most of the people thinking ford maintenance is higher but it is very lower while comparing competitors.
Almost digged for an year to chose a perfect vehicle that suits my Enthusiastic taste!

Experts said me to go with Feature loaded car or good resale value car but I had other idea.

Choosing a suitable car *varies* with respect to the need of an individual person! Thus added *Ford Freestyle Titanium Plus Diesel* in my garage and perfectly matching with my Palm & Foot play. Ford Impressed me??

Despite the "cheapest car" tag, the Nano is actually the best example of Engineering ingenuity and is a true Marvel. My Nano has seen and been to all sorts of roads in and around Tamil Nadu. Every drive has been pure bliss. Although there's not a surplus of power, it can easily cope up and satisfy you on everyday drives. Bare minimum maintenance costs, yearly once service, easiest to park and navigate in the City. It's also seriously capable off road with the all independent suspension setup. The steering is a breeze too. Stability is decent even at Highway speeds

and long overnight drives are cakewalk. With larger 13 inch wheels, it's even more comfortable and capable than before.

The stock audio system is good enough with 4 Harman speakers, there are Power windows and remote locking too. What more you need?

Wish Tata brings back the Nano with a more powerful engine and better brakes.
