Norton Motorcycles will soon be unveiling it’s new motorcycle globally. This will be the first motorcycle under the TVS-ownership. The 2021 Norton V4RR will be the new high performance motorcycle.
Recently, just a few months ago, TVS motorcycles acquired Norton for 16 million GBP, earlier this year and saved the brand from bankruptcy.
The new Norton V4RR will be powered by a 1200 cc, liquid-cooled, V4 engine which will produce 200bhp at 12,500 rpm and 130Nm of peak torque at 10,000 rpm. The Norton V4RR is claimed to be developed on the racetrack, with Norton’s experience at the Isle of Man TT. The V4RR will also feature top-spec Ohlins NIX 30 front suspension and Ohlins TTXGP Norton bespoke rear suspension.
Apart from the V4RR, Norton will be launching a whole host of new motorcycles. Norton has filed a few trademarks including the names, ‘Norton Electra’, ‘Norton Fastback’, ‘Norton Navigator’, ‘Norton Nomad’, ‘Norton Ranger’ and ‘Combat’.

Tata Motors is getting ready for the launch of the Turbo petrol version of its Altroz premium hatchback on the 13th of January. Teaser images and videos have been released by the manufacturer. However, the complete details of the Altroz turbo have been leaked online as well.
Here are the details on the new Altroz turbo petrol:
Will be available with a 1.2L Revotron 3 cyl turbo petrol engine similar to the Tata Nexon.
Will produce maximum power of 110PS (108bhp) and torque of 140NM through a 5 speed Manual gearbox.
Will be available with a Sport mode instead of the Economy mode.

A new 'Harbour Blue’ shade will also be made available on the Altroz.

Though there won't be significant cosmetic changes on the Turbo petrol variants except for the “i-Turbo” badge at the rear.

Powertrains:
The new i20 is expected to be available with two petrol engine options and one diesel engine. The standard 1.2L 4 cyl Kappa petrol engine will produce 83PS Power through either a 5 Speed manual transmission or a CVT. The 1.0L 3 cyl turbo petrol powertrain is expected to be carried over from the Aura Turbo producing a maximum output of 100PS through either a 6 speed manual gearbox, or the new IMT or a 7 speed DCT. The 1.5L turbo diesel engine from the Venue is also expected to be on offer producing 100PS Power through a 6 speed manual transmission.
Launch & price:
The all-new i20 is likely to be launched during the festive month of October this year and will go up against the new Tata Altroz, Maruti Suzuki Baleno, the new facelifted Honda Jazz and Toyota’s Glanza. Prices are expected to be around Rs20000 to Rs50000 higher than the current gen model which it will replace.
Hyundai has released a few teaser images of its new i30 N hot hatchback which will be launched soon in Europe. Here are a few highlights of this new Hyundai i30 N gathered from these images.
The new Hyundai i30N will have a dynamic design, focusing on performance and emotion. It features new and aggressive front and rear bumpers along with two large exhaust pipes. New LED headlamps and tail lamps also are visible along with the wider front grille. The images also show newly-developed 19-inch forged alloy wheels, which are lighter than those of the previous i30 N, contributing to weight
The interior layout is expected to be largely similar to the regular i30 hatchback with certain N-specific detailing and changes. Features and specifications are also expected to remain the same except for the inclusion of sportier seats and drive modes.
Hyundai has also revealed that the new i30 will be available with the company’s eight-speed dual clutch (N DCT), including dedicated N performance shifting functions. This transmission will be paired to the same 2.0L turbo petrol engine producing 250bhp as standard and 275bhp with the performance pack. This engine also produces 353NM torque as standard with power sent to the front wheels through an Electronic Limited Slip Differential.
