About Royal Enfield Meteor

It has a stunning look with 349 Cubic Capacity, Single Cylinder, 4 – Stroke & Air Oil cooled. Meteor can achieve Maximum Torque of 27Nm @ 4000 rpm and with a maximum power of 20.2 BHP @ 6100 rpm. Comes only with Self-start. Completely refined engine. No vibrations even at the speed of 120kmph. Engine balancing has been done in such a way to ensure no vibrations at the top speed. The rider will feel that for sure.

Comes with a Twin downtube spine frame chassis which provides more stability and comfort. Both Front (100/90 - 19”) & Rear (140/70 - 17”) tubeless tires with alloy wheels. Meteor has Dual ABS braking channel - Front Brakes 300mm disc with the twin-piston floating caliper and Rear brake 270mm disc single-piston floating caliper which very opts for controlling the speed.

Suspension – Telescopic 41mm forks Front suspension and Twin tube emulsion shock absorbers with 6 steps adjustable preload Rear suspension which provides the ultimate comfort for the pillion riders.

The Tripper Navigation in Meteor – First ever in a Royal Enfield. It’s been powered by Google Maps and the Royal Enfield App which connects smartphones with the Meteor through Bluetooth. Tata Motors Dark and Camo Editions - All you need to know

Tata Motors likes to stay in the news and they have always been quite successful at that. They have a habit of launching either subtle updates or special editions or even new variants of their cars almost every month. This time it’s a great news for Black lovers.

Tata motors have filed trademark for #DARK and Camo editions of their budget range of cars, the Tiago, Tigor, Altroz and the Nexon. The #DARK edition is what we have seen on the Harrier already. The Harrier #Dark edition featured a new Atlas Black colour scheme with Glossy black finished alloy wheels. The

interiors too were given an all-black treatment with faux metal glossy grey accents on the dashboard and doors. We can expect the same treatment to be given to the other cars as well.

As a result of the success of this special edition, the manufacturer has decided to launch this edition on all of their cars including the Tiago, Tigor, Altroz and Nexon. This #Dark edition scheme however, just like on the Harrier, will be available only on the top spec XZ+ variants of the Tiago and Tigor. The Altroz will receive this paint scheme only on the XZ and Nexon #Dark will be available on the XZ+, XZ+(S) & XZ+(O) variants along with their AMT equipped versions.

The other special paint scheme that is expected to launched is the CAMO edition. Though we are not sure about it’s details or colour scheme, it is safe to expect a white and black camouflage theme either only on the roof or the whole body.

Apart from these already available Tata cars, Tata Motors will also be introducing these #Dark and Camo schemes on the upcoming flagship Gravitas SUV as well.

These #Dark and Camo special colour scheme are expected to be priced around Rs 30,000 - 40,000 depending on the car model. Stay tuned for further details on these special editions from Tata Motors.

2020 Skoda Rapid TSI Automatic Launched in India Price Starts from 9.49 Lakh

Skoda India has officially launched the Automatic range of their best selling Rapid mid size Sedan. Launched earlier this year, the BS6 Rapid TSI was available with only a 6 speed manual transmission till now.

The Skoda Rapid BS6 is available with a 1.0L TSI 3 cyl turbo petrol engine only producing 110PS Power and 175NM Torque. The manufacturer has introduced a new 6 speed torque converter automatic transmission which is the same as on the Polo and Vento TSI.

This Automatic gearbox is available on all except the entry level Rider variant of the Rapid TSI:

Launch & price:

The new Automatic range of the Skoda Rapid TSI is priced from Rs9.49L to Rs13.29L (Ex-showroom prices); at a premium of around ?1.5L over the manual variants. The new Rapid TSI competes against the likes of the VW Vento TSI, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Hyundai Verna, the new Honda City and the Toyota Yaris.

Skoda Rapid 1.0L TSI

A smaller engine it is for sure when compared to the big 1.6 unit. However, the 1.0L engine is not really a tortoise. Generating 110 PS and 175 NM of torque, power figures aren’t that bad for such a small engine. After all, the engine is of a Turbocharged Stratified Injection (TSI) type that offers all the power when you need it but otherwise remains fuel efficient as fuel efficiency claimed by Skoda is 18.24 KMPL.

Prices of the Skoda Rapid TSI start at 9.06 Lakhs and go all the way upto 14.72 Lakhs. Prices are Ex- showroom. Available in 5

manual transmission variants, the petrol only sedan comes with a choice of six colour options- Flash Red, Candy White, Lapiz Blue, Brilliant Silver, Carbon Steel and Toffee Brown. Some colours however maybe restricted to a few variants only.

For the kind of kit it offers for the price, the Rapid TSI competes with the Volkswagen Vento, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, and Hyundai Verna. Though some cars like the Tata Nexon, Maruti Vitarra Brezza and Ford Ecosport are from a different segment, they could compete if buyers are not restricted to one segment since they are priced in a similar way.
