Tata Altroz Turbo Petrol

Tata motors is getting ready to launch the new Tata Altroz turbo in the coming months. Ahead of launch, images of the Altroz turbo petrol seemed to have popped on the features and downloads section of the official website. As previewed by the Spy images, the car looks similar to the standard Altroz except for that ‘iturbo’ badge on the rear fascia next to the right side tail lamp. Apart from the new badging there seem to be no changes to the exterior.

The Altroz turbo petrol will be offered with a 1.2-litre turbocharged Revotron 3 cylinder petrol engine that produces 110PS Power and 140Nm torque through a 5-speed manual transmission. A 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission is also expected to be launched.

The Turbo petrol option could be available on the XT, XT(o), XZ and XZ(o) variants. These turbo petrol variants will be available with a Sport mode instead of the Economy mode and also include Engine auto Start/Stop system.

The ‘Tectonic Blue’ shade from the Nexon will also be made available on the Altroz. The top spec variants are also expected to receive new features such as 60:40 split folding rear seats as well.

Pricing for the new turbo petrol equipped version is expected to start from Rs.7.99L for the XT variant and go up to Rs.8.75L for the XZ(O) variant. (All prices ex showroom) Stay tuned for further updates on the Tata Altroz turbo version.

The fog lamps are located lower down in the bumper on the lower variants whereas the higher variants get LED DRLs integrated with the fog lamps on the regular location. While there weren’t any significant players that could knock it off, the tech savvy world is difficult to keep up with. Not too difficult for new cars as they come up with updated tech. So naturally, it is important to keep up with fight competition and Hyundai has done just that. Launched in March this year, the new Creta not only looks different but also comes with updated tech, new features, new engines and much more!

    Exterior:
Starting from the front, the new Creta gets new LED DRL’s, new triple beam headlamps and a typical new- gen huge front grill. The side profile looks beefier

but the 17- inch diamond cut profile wheels gives a sort of a geeky vibe. The LED striped tail lamps at the rear and a twin ‘tip’ exhaust give it a very different look, obviously. We personally think the looks of the Creta 2020 are a bit average. While it has a muscular feel to it, there are elements that make it seem low key and toned down. A combination that is quite difficult to make it a success.

    Interior:
The inside of the new 2020 Creta is more interesting. The top of the line variant gets a mix of while and black while the Turbo GDI variant gets all Black interior with red highlights. A refreshed dashboard, 10.25 inch infotainment touchscreen system, a 7 inch instrument panel, a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, air purifier, a TPMS system, a cooled glove box, LED reading lamps, a BOSE audio system, raise- able sun blinds, a new steering wheel takes this car to a whole new level in this segment in terms of the ambience it offers.

2020 Hyundai Creta Price and variants:

The variants of the Creta 2020 are well spread out. Starting from the E variant, EX, S SX, and SX(O) at the top, prices begin from 9.99 Lakhs Ex- showroom and go upto 17.20 Lakhs. While it does seem like a competitive price especially in the mid variants, the top variants go a tad higher. The car comes in many colors though- 10 of them!

    Engine and power:

The 2020 Hyundai Creta comes with three BS6 engine options- a 1.4-litre Kappa Turbo-GDi petrol engine that produces 140PS and 242Nm of torque. In typical Hyundai style, it is mated to a 7-speed DCT gearbox. The second petrol engine option is a 1.5-litre MPi motor that produces 115PS and 144Nm of torque, paired to a 6-speed manual transmission unit or a CVT gearbox. The third option is a 1.5-litre U2 diesel engine that produces 115PS and 250Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed manual transmission gearbox or a 6-speed torque converter unit.

While Kia Seltos, Tata Harrier and MG Hector have been making the competition in this segment pretty melodious. The 2020 Creta with its features and price has been making the right kind of noises.

Honda has revealed the new 2022 Honda Civic in prototype form, ahead of the official debut in 2021. The new Civic was unveiled on video game streaming site Twitch to establish a connect with a younger audience, which it believes is the target customer for the Civic. This 11th generation Honda Civic has completely transformed inside and out.

    Exterior

The new Civic adapts Honda’s latest design language we have previewed on the Amaze and the new City. Honda has stuck with the wide and low stance the world has come to associate with the Civic, but instead

of the aggressive, sharp fascia and body creases, the new model gets cleaner surfacing and a more grown-up appearance.

The new model gets deep-set LED headlights with angular LED daytime running lights flanking the slim grille. The front bumper is dominated by a large radiator grille, flanked by C-shaped black accents for the air intakes.

On the sides, there’s a strong shoulder line that runs from the front fender all the way to the tail-lights, and the window line features a kink on the D-pillar similar to the latest generation Accord sold overseas. This prototype gets 19-inch black alloys with 235-section Pirelli Pilot Super Sport tyres as well.

Similar to the front, the rear too is much simpler. The new car recieves a subtle boot lip spoiler, wraparound LED tail-lights and gloss black surrounds for the exhaust tips.

The new Honda Civic is expected to remain similar in size to the current-gen Civic but have a slightly longer wheelbase. The new Civic is based on an upgraded version of the current Civic’s platform, which is now more rigid to improve driving dynamics, as well as to enhance occupant and pedestrian collision protection.

    Interior

The new Civic adopts a cleaner, simpler and mature design language on the inside too, and carries forward some elements from the new City. A freestanding 9.0-inch touchscreen takes the pride of place on the rather minimalistic dashboard. The new Civic will also come with a full-digital instrument cluster. Another highlight will be a honeycomb mesh finish that wraps across the width of the dash and subtly incorporates the AC vents. The centre console appears free of buttons, and only houses three dials for the climate control system.

The new Civic will also feature an electronic parking brake switch, just beside the transmission selector.

The new Civic will also get a host of active and passive safety features, new airbag designs and driver assistance systems, atleast for foreign markets. Though engine and transmission details have not been revealed yet, we are expecting more exciting options with the new Civic as compared to the current generation model.

    Launch and pricing

The new Honda Civic will first be showcased in its final production form by early 2021 in the USA, while a market launch is set to take place closer to the middle of 2021. However, going by the dull sales of the current generation model in India, the 11th generation model is not expected to arrive in India before the second half of 2022. When launched, the new Honda Civic will face competition from the new-generation Hyundai Elantra and the new Skoda Octavia.
