The new Tiguan would be a Facelift version of the earlier model and will be manufactured locally to avoid import duties, so as to make it more affordable. A facelift would mean that the front and rear profiles of the car would receive cosmetic updates. The most significant difference compared to the old version of the Tiguan would be the engine. 

The new 2020 Volkswagen Tiguan is all set to receive the 1.5 Litre TSI Turbo- Petrol engine that produces an impressive 150 BHP of power. Also adding to the fun would be the 7 speed Dual Clutch automatic gearbox with

paddle shifters. Additions to the existing safety package could be a hill descent control feature and also an electronic parking brake. 

 

The interior could mostly remain the same except that the infotainment system would have a larger screen, a digital instrument cluster and tech that helps one stay connected with their car. Volkswagen may launch another variant of the Tiguan with a 48V hybrid system to increase fuel efficiency but this could happen at a much later stage. 

 

To be assembled in Pune, the new Tiguan would be a front-wheeled drive car in order to price it as competitively as possible. Prices could hover between 22 Lakh and 26 Lakh    rupees. With the Tiguan’s high popularity globally, a safe car reputation, attractive pricing and an exciting petrol engine, this SUV could surely attract a lot of attention! 

The popular performance version of the Octavia- the RS has a new version- the RS 245 and straight away, it has some striking numbers. Starting with the price- at 35.99 Lakhs, the introductory price tag is quite brave to be honest. But again, only 200 units of this car will be available in India so yes, it does have that special touch to it.

Talking of more numbers- the RS 245 is equipped with the 2.0 Litre TSI petrol unit that churns out 245 PS and 370 NM of torque. Connected to a 7 Speed automatic Dual Clutch Gearbox compared to

the earlier version that had a 6- speed unit, the RS 245 is expected to leave behind its predecessor in terms of acceleration as it now crossed 100 Kmph in 6.6 seconds. Power is also 15 PS more compared to the older model. Skoda claims that the top speed of the Rs 245 is limited to 250 kmph. We told you, these are some really striking numbers.

While the performance has changed, the exterior remains the same mostly. A sports butterfly grille, gloss black touches, projector headlamps, LED DRLs, LED tail lights, sporty tailpipes, the sport vRS badging, 18- inch glossy Black Dual Tone alloy wheels make this car very appealing to look at. We the like the way it looks like a normal sedan but has some prominent highlights to it that don’t scream performance but when you need it, it is all at your disposal. So much, that it will surprise many!

The interior does look like a normal Skoda Octavia apart from some exception like RS seats with perforated leather and red stitching, 3- spoke flat bottom steering wheel with paddle shift. LED ambient lighting, an 8 –inch touch screen infotainment system with Apple Car Play and Android Auto, digital instrument panel, dual-zone Climatronic air conditioning suggest that comfort and convenience is in no way compromised for the sake of performance. Some optional features include Black Alcantara sport seats and a 12- way electrically adjustable driver and passenger seats.

The Skoda Octavia RS 245 also comes with loads of safety tech like ABS, ESC, Mechanical brake assist (MBA), multi- collision brake (MCB), adaptive front- light system (AFS), Anti- slip regulation (ASR) and Electronic differential lock (ESR). So, this car then does add a lot to the confidence.

Available in five colours like Race Blue, Magic Black, Rallye Green, Corrida Red, and Candy White. The Skoda Octavia RS 245 is a highly desirable performance car for enthusiasts who want to drive tastefully.

The Ford Figo has been an underperforming underdog in the Indian B segment hatchback market for a long time now. Despite having a good pair of engines and segment-besting safety features, the second gen Figo never replicated the success of the original model. Part of the reason could be the rather ordinary design and the constant Feature-cuts on the BS6 version.

Now however, the Ford Motor Company has planned several new models for the Indian market based on enthusiast opinions. The new enthusiast line up of Ford cars set to be launched in India include the Ranger Raptor off-road pick-up, Focus

hatchback and Focus ST hot hatch. Apart from this, the company is also expected to launch the new generation versions of the Ecosport compact SUV and the Figo hatchback. While the new Ecosport will arrive by 2022, the new Figo is expected to arrive later next year.

As a result of the Ford-Mahindra alliance, the new-generation Figo is expected to come with one of Mahindra’s new mStallion turbo-petrol engines launched at the 2020 Delhi Auto Expo. The Figo is likely to receive the 1.2L TGDI petrol engine with direct injection technology and will produce max power of 120bhp and 200Nm of peak torque, making the 2021 Ford Figo petrol, India’s most powerful hatchback.

Apart from the new engine, the new Figo will also receive a significantly updated design language, keeping in line with some new Ford cars sold abroad. The interior too will be completely revamped, featuring way more features than ever before. Expected features include a new touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Auto climate control with rear AC vents, smart key with push-button start, Ford pass connected car tech, an updated instrument cluster and larger alloy wheels. Safety features will include dual airbags, ABS with EBD, engine immobilizer and pretensioner seatbelts as standard whereas the top spec Variants will recieve Electronic Stability Program, Hill Launch assist, Traction control and a reverse parking camera.

The current Ford Figo hatchback comes with a 1.2L, 3-cylinder petrol, and a 1.5L, 4 cylinder diesel. While the 1.2L petrol unit makes 96bhp and 120Nm, the 1.5L diesel unit develops a peak power of 100bhp and 215Nm of torque. While the current crop of engines and 5 speed Manual gearboxes are expected to be carried forward, a new 6 speed torque converter automatic transmission is also expected to be offered with the petrol engines.
