Rivalry can be quite fun for the spectators. It's even more fun when big brands take a dig at their rivals in a direct manner. Tata motors has released an ad for their Altroz premium hatchback based on the Halloween theme, which takes a dig at the soon to be launched Hyundai i20. 

            Tata Motors have been running an all new 2020 Halloween Campaign using their cars. However, one particular ad with the Altroz directly takes a hit on the upcoming rival, 2020 Hyundai i20. This short video has a caption too, “You Can I the Trick 20 Times , but

it’s the treat that you fall for” which is directly mentions the upcoming i20. The car is even wrapped in the video to show that it is yet to be launched. In simple terms, they are referring to the i20 as a trick with loads of features and the Altroz as a treat. Hyundai i20 is all set to become the most feature loaded car in the segment once launched next week in India. 

         Hyundai has also responded to this ad from Tata with a short video along with the caption, “The darkness has found a new treat. This is no trick. The all-new i20 is all set to treat you with its sleek style and thrilling performance. Stay tuned.”

The 2020 Hyundai i20 will be launched in India on 5th November, 2020. Bookings for the new premium hatchback have already commenced in India and a considerable amount of details of the new i20 are already out on the internet. It will be loaded with features and compete against the Tata Altroz with two petrol engines and one diesel engine. The Altroz is a strong product too, with best in class safety credentials and handling. It remains to be seen how both the hatchbacks perform in real world, as well as in terms of sales.

The popular performance version of the Octavia- the RS has a new version- the RS 245 and straight away, it has some striking numbers. Starting with the price- at 35.99 Lakhs, the introductory price tag is quite brave to be honest. But again, only 200 units of this car will be available in India so yes, it does have that special touch to it.

Talking of more numbers- the RS 245 is equipped with the 2.0 Litre TSI petrol unit that churns out 245 PS and 370 NM of torque. Connected to a 7 Speed automatic Dual Clutch Gearbox compared to

the earlier version that had a 6- speed unit, the RS 245 is expected to leave behind its predecessor in terms of acceleration as it now crossed 100 Kmph in 6.6 seconds. Power is also 15 PS more compared to the older model. Skoda claims that the top speed of the Rs 245 is limited to 250 kmph. We told you, these are some really striking numbers.

While the performance has changed, the exterior remains the same mostly. A sports butterfly grille, gloss black touches, projector headlamps, LED DRLs, LED tail lights, sporty tailpipes, the sport vRS badging, 18- inch glossy Black Dual Tone alloy wheels make this car very appealing to look at. We the like the way it looks like a normal sedan but has some prominent highlights to it that don’t scream performance but when you need it, it is all at your disposal. So much, that it will surprise many!

The interior does look like a normal Skoda Octavia apart from some exception like RS seats with perforated leather and red stitching, 3- spoke flat bottom steering wheel with paddle shift. LED ambient lighting, an 8 –inch touch screen infotainment system with Apple Car Play and Android Auto, digital instrument panel, dual-zone Climatronic air conditioning suggest that comfort and convenience is in no way compromised for the sake of performance. Some optional features include Black Alcantara sport seats and a 12- way electrically adjustable driver and passenger seats.

The Skoda Octavia RS 245 also comes with loads of safety tech like ABS, ESC, Mechanical brake assist (MBA), multi- collision brake (MCB), adaptive front- light system (AFS), Anti- slip regulation (ASR) and Electronic differential lock (ESR). So, this car then does add a lot to the confidence.

Available in five colours like Race Blue, Magic Black, Rallye Green, Corrida Red, and Candy White. The Skoda Octavia RS 245 is a highly desirable performance car for enthusiasts who want to drive tastefully.

The Ford EcoSport in Europe will soon be getting a new Active version with the growing popularity and positive customer feedback of the Active trim on models such as the Fiesta and Focus. Ford has confirmed the unveil of the off-road inspired EcoSport on the 6th of November. However now, images of this new version of the Ecosport compact Crossover have been leaked online.

Going by these images, this new Active model features increased ground clearance, additional body cladding as well as some unique styling changes inside and out. These changes will give the compact crossover better rough road capability while

also improving the aesthetic appeal. The Active version also include new design (for Europe) 17” alloy wheels.

The leaked images also reveal that the Ecosport Active will come with Active badging, tinted windows, contrast black roof and black plastic fender flares. Apart from exterior changes, the interior could also feature special branded seats, scuff plates. However the interior isn't revealed yet.

The European Ford Ecosport offers AWD system as an option as well.

Ford will also offer “convenient equipment packs” which group the most commonly selected options together. This reduces complexity and promises to give customers better value for money.
